In fact, this is 3 differents applications:

TouchChat HD is a full featured communication solution for individuals who have difficulty using their natural voice. TouchChat is designed for individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, ALS, apraxia, stroke, or other conditions that affect a person’s ability to use natural speech.

TouchChat is a full featured communication application for iPod/iPad technology. TouchChat fits into the product category of Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices. AAC devices allow individuals who cannot speak to communicate by spelling or selecting icons from a visual display. Words, phrases and messages are spoken with a built-in voice synthesizer or by playing back a recorded message. Five synthesized Acapela English and American voices are available, allowing you to choose a voice that meets your own personality. In order to communicate silently in noisy environments, TouchChat also has a unique feature whereby one can simply tilt the device to make the message expand to fill the entire screen in large letters.

There is 4 predefined Vocabulary Set: VocabPC, MultiChat-15, Primary and Spelling. Each page set targets individuals with different communication needs. Additional page sets including WordPower and Essence are available as in-app purchases.

TouchChat HD AAC with WordPower is a bundled version with the WordPower series of AAC vocabularies designed by Nancy Inman.
