It is now official. Apple has included Proloquo2Go on the iPads on display in Apple Stores worldwide. Many resellers also have access to this official Apple App collection and may have put it on their display iPads now or will do so after Christmas.

This is a historic moment. Families, therapists and educators can now walk into over 300 Apple Stores in more than 10 countries, into hundreds of Best Buys and other stores with an in-store Apple Store as well as many other resellers and try the Proloquo2Go Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) solution hands-on. The Proloquo2Go version included on the display iPads is fully functional but clears all user content and modifications after the app is terminated by pressing the iPad home button.
It means also that now, our US English and British Text-to-Speech voices are also available in all iPad of all Apple Stores, through Proloquo2Go!

Proloquo2Go is a software from AssistiveWare.
AssistiveWare is a long time partner and customer of Acapela Text to Speech on Mac OS X (Infovox iVox, Proloquo, GhostReader …) and iOS (Proloquo2Go was one of the first available apps on AppStore that used our Text-To-Speech).
In October, AssistiveWare released a second iPhone application: Pictello
Pictello is developed with non-speaking people in mind, so it is easy to use and requires no literacy skills to locate and read stories.
Pictello is a simple way to create talking photo albums and talking books. Each page in a Pictello Story can contain a picture, up to five lines of text, and a recorded sound or text-to-speech using the Acapela for iPhone and iPad high-quality voices.

The current version includes North American English male and female voices. A universal version that will also support the iPad is in development as are localized versions in other languages.
